RESTAURANT @ LA CITA INDIE NIGHT
La Cita is an eclectic bar that sits in downtown Los Angeles, where the clientele ranges from hipsters, rude boys, fashionistas, and Mexican cowboys depending on what night you attend. However, we’ve discovered that on Tuesdays they’ve introduced a new night…Live Indie Band Night! One of the first bands to be apart of this event was one of the most under-rated LA based bands, Restaurant.

They’re described as Electro-Country, which isn’t necessarily far off from an accurate description, but what can’t be overlooked are the deep influences of jazz, blue grass, and rock. You’ll witness sliding guitar, harmonica, keyboards, and a home-made drum kit. A hub cab is used as a crash cymbal, two old license plates make up the hi-hat cymbals, a wooden box mimics a kick drum, and screw regular drum sticks..the drummer uses broom sticks!

Restaurant is a high energy band that keeps your attention from start to finish. Where when you aren’t dancing your socks off, you’re dodging bits of wood that are breaking off the broom sticks as they slam against the wooden bass drum. So watch out! Oh, and be careful of the flying drum kit!
They’re playing a slue of shows in the Los Angeles area in the month of May and we have dubbed them one band you MUST see when given the chance…so don’t miss it!
